New Help Desk Procedure for Reporting Technical Trouble
 Effective, Monday, September 14, 2009 a new procedure will be set in place for reporting technical trouble.  We will no longer contact Karen Strevy directly (via e-mail or in person) to report technical issues or requests. We have been advised by NERIC that we should call (5400) or e-mail the Help Desk HelpDesk@gw.neric.org with our technical issues. New Groupwise 8

As you know, the GroupWise email system was upgraded to the latest version.  GroupWise 8 offers many new features, including an improved webmail interface, and a new GW client with additional functionality and stability.  For more information on the new features click here!
 
To take advantage of the new client features, please take a few minutes to download and install the latest GW client.
 
To install:
  1. Click the above link.
  2. Choose "Run" from the file download prompt.
  3. Choose "Run" from the Internet Explorer prompt.  The installer will now close your existing client for you.
  4. The installer window will appear.  Click "Next" (may take a few minutes to appear, depending on connection).  Leave choice as "Upgrade" - click "Next".
  5. Click "Install".
The install process may take several minutes to complete, so please be patient!
 
If you are unable to click the link, you can find the setup.exe at P:\_CRB\_Common\Software\Clients\GroupWise\800hp2\Windows.  If you have issues with the installation, please contact the helpdesk at 862-5400, or email gwhelp@gw.neric.org

Karen Strevy is a NERIC employee, assigned to provide technology support to School Support Service. She is typically on site at SSS on M-W-F. When she is not at SSS, staff can also call the NERIC Help Desk at 862-5400 for technical assistance.
